Album Design & Production Service

Our album design and production service is available to those clients who have had their images taken and supplied by Stuart Hay Photography as well as to those who’ve taken their own or had them provided by a third party.  By using the very latest design software, we are able to supply our clients with a variety of album types, including:

  • Preview Books
  • Classic Coffee Table Books
  • Bellissimo Albums

Overview

Preview books, which are A4 in size and press-printed, have a soft, personalised front and back cover and up to 6 images per page.  White pages are used throughout.  The applicable image number appears underneath each image for ease of future reference.

Uses

Social & Commercial photography. 

Colour-Correction

It should be noted that the images within the preview book are not colour-corrected at the time of printing.  It is therefore the responsibility of the client to ensure that all images supplied are adjusted for density and colour balance prior to placing an order.

Delivery

Preview books are usually ready for collection or dispatch within 7-14 days of being ordered.

Price

Preview Books are priced at £125.00 irrespective of the number of pages.

The press-printed Classic Coffee Table Book represents excellent value for money.  There are between 1 and 3 images per page and plain backgrounds are used throughout the book.

The minimum number of pages is 20 and the maximum is 160.

Bellissimo is a range of modern, contemporary storybook albums which are available in 4 distinct styles:

Classico

A modern version of a traditional album.  There up to 2 images per page and plain solid backgrounds are used throughout.

Perfetto  

A storybook album where creativity is limited only by your imagination.  In addition to plain solid backgrounds, the albums can be designed to include background images and special effects.  There’s no limit to the number of images per page.  Images may appear across the fold in the page, which a particularly useful feature, especially when big enlargements are required.

Fine Art

Designed in exactly the same way as the Perfetto, but printed on white cotton smooth textured fine art paper.

Apertura

A matted overlay album offering the ultimate in luxury and quality.

Colour-Correction

To produce the finest print quality, images should ideally be supplied fully adjusted for density and colour-corrected.  If images aren’t colour-corrected, there’s a real risk that there’ll be a lack of consistency and continuity in the printed images in terms of how light or dark they look and in their colour.  A service is offered whereby images supplied by clients can be fully colour-corrected at a price of £1.00 per image.  For images taken and supplied by Stuart Hay Photography, colour-correction by the laboratory during the printing and binding stage of the process is included.

Bellissmo albums are usually ready for collection or dispatch within 14-21 days of design approval.
